exploring and celebrating local foods!
Make your own mozzarella with Chef Bob O' Neil from Athens' restaurants
Village Bakery and Della Zona using Snowville Creamery milk
from literally down the road! (Located within a mile of the Carpenter Inn.)
Author, cooking instructor, and Our Ohio segment host Marilou Suszko will accompany you on a trip to the Athens Farmer's Market - one of the premiere markets in the state, with over 40 vendors and live music. She will teach you how to choose the most flavorful fruits and vegetables and including heirloom varieties.
Back to the Carpenter Inn with Chef Suszko for a cooking demonstration and sampling with the wonderful finds from your farmer's market adventure. She will share recipes and stories from her travels across the state and the small family farms she visited.
The evening will conclude with a lovely dinner served al fresco on the patio overlooking the beautiful hills of Southeastern Ohio and beautiful gardens at the Carpenter Inn.
Guests will be treated to a scrumptious brunch and visit from Warren Taylor of Snowville Creamery before heading home with the Farmer's Market finds and homemade cheese! Those who wish to, can accompany Warren down the road for a tour of the dairy facility.

2 nights stay in private room with shared bath at the beautiful Carpenter Inn & Conference Center, Mozzarella making workshop and the cheese you make, trip to the Athens Farmer's market with Suszko, cooking demo by Suszko, and dinner Friday and Saturday, breakfast Saturday and Sunday. Also included is an optional tour of Snowville Creamery.
